I am afraid your monkey friendly sign language is not so monkey friendly. But perhaps the GOON monkeys just speak a different Dialect.
No matter, any one who is shocked by GOON market manipulation needs to give there head a shake.
First of all the GOONS are just rapping up the take over of fountain. Which means a lot of GOONS that have been very busy lately suddenly do not have much to do. They needed something to keep the simple minded grunts busy while their dark overloards put together their next campaign.
Secondly, every GOON endevor has a few common traits, Have fun while impeding the fun of others, and exploit the fallout for profit.
Now the average EVE player has very little knowledge of what that fallout will be, but I can assure you, every action by the GOONS was carefully planed with the profits from the fallout being the primary goal, not actions themselves.
Personally I enjoy seeing a new GOON plot be put into action. As an outsider it is a challenge to try to determine the true goals behind the actions. I was actually pretty close a couple times. Another ICE interdiction seems a little boring, but hey, it worked so well the last time, maybe they just need to refill the coffers after the war. ICE interdiction is not about the ganking of miners, that is just a bonus, it is about creating predictable market fall out and maximizing the profits made off it. perhaps they will not even run another ICE interdiction. With the success of previous ICE interdiction's, the rumor about one alone will create enough fallout to generate some profit. But then again GOON grunts do so enjoy a good gankfest. A nice reward after the hard work in fountain. Either way ICE prices are going up, and if this is news to you, you already missed the boat.
When it comes to the GOONS the only thing guaranteed is that their chess pieces are set up for the win, long before the game even starts.
Some times I wish I was single, living in my mothers basement, with nothing to do but play EVE all day. To have time to be a part of such plots.
But then I remember how much better it is, to actually have a life, in the real world. Where achievements actually mean something.
